4 does seem a little low- I'd give it 4.5 stars. Place was a hoot. We were hollerin, loudly, and no one seemed to mind.
Came with a squad of 7 rowdy dudes. It was a grand old time with the squad. Drinks are v reasonable, food was fantastic. Omg the fries tho. Burgers, although strong, we're not Red Coat strength - despite what that other dude said in the review.
Would recommend. -

I like this place a lot but there are things that annoy me. I know it's a bar, but the music is just too damn loud. Turn it down!
The Piedmontese beef burger is just wonderful. You can create your own burger to order. The garlic Parmesan fries are outstanding, especially dipped in the garlic aioli. The BBQ chicken nachos are delicious. I've had good salads here, too, and great chili. You really can't go wrong with the menu- solid delicious bar fare.
Service is usually very good but once in awhile a high-maintenance (drunk, loud) group will take up too much of the server's energy.
Also, patrons who smoke - standing smoking in the back entrance IS NOT 20 FEET FROM THE DOOR PER STATE LAW. The bar doesn't enforce this, either. Sad.

Made the bad decision to come in during NCAA March Madness. I really wanted the Piedmont burger and it did not disappoint. DC had the tuna melt - loved it. But It was SO LOUD!!! Our waitress Michelle made our dining experience very enjoyable despite the fact that we had to scream to hear each other. She was totally hilarious and mad dinner fun. -

We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon. Seat yourself style. Our group of 4 all ordered burgers. The service was quick and friendly. Three of the four selected build your own burgers with Piedmontese and a variety of toppings. I went with the Burger of the Month which consisted of Spicy BBQ, Bacon, Caramelized onions, Pepper Jack cheese, Spicy Aioli sauce on brioche bun. The burgers are wonderful. Two orders of garlic Parmesan cheese fries, one truffle roasted red potatoes, and sweet potato fries that came with a light honey mustard dipping sauce. The fries were plentiful enough that we could have split two orders. The server also informed us that they are well know for their wings, the Asian ribs and steak salad were good. The also have a plethora of craft beers and drinks.

Ive lives down the street from Mt. Chalet for a little over a year and have gone there multiple times. Their fries are crispy and delicious. They taste great with a beer while watching a ball game and drinking a beer or with their amazing burgers. They have some great nachos too. I would highly recommend this place for dinner, beers, or apps. I've heard they have a good brunch too, but I can not confirm.

I've been to a lot of bars and have had lots of tequila but I've never ordered one on the rocks and been charged $40 for it. Once I ordered a drink and the bartender asked if I knew it was a $50 a shot scotch, I was thankful to that bartender. You "didn't want to offend me by telling me". That's crap.
